When I check this product again, it finally dipped down to lovable pricing ($3.02!!) but the supplier has changed. Please keep this in mind. Product is now listed as “School Smart Newsprint Drawing Paper, 30 lb, 6 x 9 Inches, 500 Sheets”. Still around half a penny per sheet. Great deal, I will buy it again.At less than half a penny per sheet (I bought these for $2.32 + Free Shipping) this paper is hard to beat. Not the best if you’re planning on drawing and then subsequently saving these for extended periods of time, or for using wet medium. If you are using this for art at all, this is strictly for practice. Keep in mind this is newsprint. It will probably yellow and fade, like newsprint does. But I wouldn’t know for sure, I haven’t waited that long to find out yet. Anyway, there’s something liberating about drawing on cheap paper that will expire. I don’t feel afraid to draw terribly, and I don’t freeze after completing a “good” drawing. Just keep on drawing for the sake of mileage, baby! Buy two of these and draw 3 pages a day, and it will cost you $5 the entire year. Insane!

Review is for School Smart Newsprint Drawing Paper 6X9 Inches-500 pack: I just LOVE this paper. I am an artist and am very particular about paper and the texture of it. I had used various types of scrap paper and I had come across this small tablet of newsprint paper, and it was so easy to write on. The ink just glides along the paper and it was easy to read afterwards, because newsprint paper grabs the ink differently than regular computer or other papers since the Texture is perfect. I decided to SEARCH for some additional newsprint paper since the tablet of newsprint that I was found had only a few sheets in it. I was thrilled to come across School Smart Newsprint drawing paper, because it is actually what I call newsprint, not like some others that I had tried to find and had to return. If you like good scratch paper, to doodle on or to keep notes, THIS IS IT!!

These little papers are just the thing if you have young people in your life who are always creating. I just got a second order. I keep them on my shelf and the kids can grab as many as they want to do whatever projects they like. My granddaughter uses them to make little books and write notes. The paper is not great quality but it is great for what it is.

This is a package of 500 loose sheets of 9″x 6″ newsprint. This is perfect for getting started with practice-drawing exercises, or loose-leaf sketching. These are great for collecting ideas and working out object placement on newsprint before you commit to more expensive paper. These half sheets will allow you to sketch and explore guilt free. If a certain study is not to your liking, you can use it for fireplace starter knowing you didn’t waste a much more valuable sheet of paper. I highly recommend this product for artists of all ages; from 3 to 103! Happy sketching! ?
