I am collaging scraps from my sketchbooks and art notes throughout the years into one book. This is great. The pages are thick like card stock and take well to sealant, primer, gluestick, etc. If you have a box of doodles/scraps lying around, get this and give your drawings new life!

Using for mixed media and I really love the paper and quality of the book.

  3. Elmira Goodwin

I have been looking for a book with nice size pages. It lays flat to do work across both pages. I absolutely love the paper in it ! The outside will hold up to many days of travel ! Great envelope with closure at the front ! Very happy !!

As an art teacher and an artist.. I’ve been through so many types of sketchbooks it’s ridiculous. This is by far my favorite. In credibly sturdy and only gets better as it get used and abused. The pages are a thick card stock – Bristol board like material, so it takes acrylic, liquid acrylic and watercolors like a champ. The pages are strong enough any mixed media, cutting out negative space and I’m predicting sewing and embroidery wouldn’t be a problem for this either. Strong top flap pocket is the size of the cover and holds all your loose flat item securely. Definitely worth the 25+ dollars.

My new most favorite journal for art journaling!!! I absolutely LOVE this journal. The paper is a nice medium/heavy weight. And while the description does not say exactly what weight it is, I would guess it to be about a 110 lb weight.I love the large size page format. Mine arrived with no defects at all as mentioned by other reviewers. Mine was perfect.I use a lot of water based mediums with my journaling so I gesso the pages before I begin any artwork as I want the colors to move and flow. I have found the journal paper to hold up very well and I’ve had no bleed through at all through the pages. This journal has held up to acrylic paints, water color brush markers, permanent markers, paint pens, spray inks and anything else I’ve thrown at it very well.I have been so pleased with this journal that I’ve already bought 2 more to have on hand because I know I will fill the first one up very quickly. Truly my favorite art journal of all that I have. And I have many different sizes and types of art journals. This one totally inspires me.

The photo shown for this Creative Journal looks very fun and colorful but when I got it, found out that colorful part is ONLY a slip on label and the journal cover is blank, no color at all. Maybe they made it that way for each person to create their own cover but I wanted the color on the cover for ‘inspiration’ … The inside page are very nice, ivory in color, not white… It’s definitely a thick and heavy art journal… will likely be keeping it and making my own colorful cover 🙂
