A lot of creative artists live under this roof, and with a newfound interest in creating with alcohol markers and ink pens, traditionally paper no longer cuts it without risk of bleeding through to other sheets or damaging furniture. Thanks to this great note book, it makes alcohol markers colors pop, with sturdy paper thickness and easy to tear pages to present the colorful creations. The artists are highly satisfied and I am too.

I recently purchased the Canson XL Series Marker Paper, and it has quickly become my go-to choice for all my marker artwork. Here’s why I’m giving this paper a five-star review:No Bleed Through:One of the standout features of this paper is its excellent resistance to bleed-through. Even when using alcohol-based markers, the ink stays on the page and doesn’t seep onto the next sheet. This allows me to use both sides of each sheet without any worries.Smooth and Consistent Texture:The paper has a smooth, consistent texture that is perfect for marker work. The surface allows for even ink flow and vibrant colors, enhancing the overall quality of my artwork. It also handles layering and blending beautifully, making it ideal for detailed illustrations.Durable and High-Quality:Despite being lightweight at 18lb/70g, the paper is surprisingly durable. It holds up well to multiple layers of ink without warping or buckling. The high-quality material ensures a professional finish for all my projects.Convenient Size and Format:The 9×12 inch size is perfect for a variety of projects, from sketches to finished pieces. The foldover pad design makes it easy to tear out individual sheets without damaging them, which is great for displaying or framing my work.Generous Sheet Count:With 100 sheets per pad, this paper offers excellent value for the price. I can work on multiple projects without worrying about running out of paper too quickly. The generous sheet count ensures I always have plenty of paper on hand for my creative needs.Ideal for Artists of All Levels:Whether you’re a beginner or a professional artist, this paper is a fantastic choice. It’s user-friendly and provides consistent, high-quality results, making it suitable for artists of all skill levels.Final Thoughts:The Canson XL Series Marker Paper is a top-notch product that delivers on all fronts. Its resistance to bleed-through, smooth texture, durability, and convenient format make it an excellent choice for anyone using markers. I highly recommend this paper to all artists looking for reliable and high-quality marker paper. Five stars!

This superb quality marker paper is a definite need for beginners and professionals in markers alike. The texture of the paper has no tooth/texture to it and is smoother than printer paper. It is quite light and thin, but it won’t bleed, no matter how much ink you layer on. The transparency of the paper does not bother me at all, and I find that I can actually take advantage of this by placing another sheet on top of my construction lines. This technique allows me to create a homemade light-box concept (not exactly a light-box) and I can create my line-art on a separate paper. I also compared how marker ink shows up to other brands, and I found that the ink appears different when wet, but becomes very vibrant when dry. Black ink (used for line-art) does smear a bit if you don’t allow it to dry fast enough, and it takes longer to dry compared to other brands. The pad is a little bit finicky, and I find that the sheets can fall out quite easily. However, if you keep flat on a flat, sturdy surface, it’ll be fine.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. I have used Canson for a long time, so I trust each of the company’s products to be incredibly well made. If you haven’t decided whether to buy this marker paper, I recommend to do so. Considering how cheap it is compared to other marker paper brands, this is a great choice. All of my reviews are unbiased and I did not receive this product from the company for a review. I purchased this for my own interests.
