This blank journal is decent size – lots of pages – very thick. It is definitely not something you can throw in your bag or purse but it is perfect for journaling projects that are done mostly at home. I bought this specifically to use as a tarot journal so I needed to make sure I had enough pages to cover 72 tarot card meanings etc.

I am using it for personal notes but buying another to be used as a sketch pad. It’s so perfect and sturdy I love that I can draw my own picture on the cover. Lots of paper. Sharpie marker seeps thru to other side of page. I use sharpies a lot. So I’ll probably keep a thin piece of cardboard behind pages when I draw, with markers.

* I am not an artist; I purchased this as a build journal for an upcoming project, simply because I like unruled pages, so my requirements may not align with an artist’s.* The paper seems good enough quality (thicker than some of the Muji notebooks I use for notes at work)* The covers themselves aren’t super thick, maybe 2x cardstock thickness but there’s a sturdy insert inside the back cover that works well as a drawing/writing surface.I mean, it is as advertised. It’s a plain, unruled wirebound sketchbook. Can’t really find anything to complain about
